About Hollywood Galleries
Hollywood Galleries was established by Hon Lau and his wife Ellen in 1985. Located in the ancient sector of Hollywood Road near Hong Kong Man Mo Temple, it stands out among the antique shops in the area for its quality and available offerings. We specialize in Buddhist sculptures, paintings, and religious works of art with origins from the Himalayas, India, China, and Southeast Asia spanning from the 10th to the 19th century. Our expertise is in Tibetan gilt bronze sculptures and was cultivated while working collaboratively with private collectors and museums in China and overseas. Our legacy in the art world goes all the way back to the '70s with Hon's father, who inspired a love for the arts in Hon Lau. It was this early exposure that set Hon’s foundation and inspired him to carry on his father’s work in the arts. Today, Hollywood Galleries is a continuously expanding family business that stands out for being managed with both passion and keen oversight.

東寶齋由劉惠漢夫婦創立於1985年，近於香港荷李活道文武廟，專營古代佛教藝術包括塑像丶唐卡丶法器等。 其中以喜馬拉雅山區地區的藏傳佛教鎏金銅像居多，除此之外也有尼泊爾丶中國丶印度丶東南亞藝術作品。 我們在藝術世界的追求可以追溯到70年代已從事於藝術界生意的劉先生的父親，多年與中國及海外的私人收藏家和博物館合作，為下一代打好了基礎和靈感。從此家族生意的熱情不斷地延長。

Origin of our collections
For hundreds of years, religious devotees travel great distance to visit important spiritual sites, they brought back pilgrim souvenirs antiquity as a reminder of their journey. Each of our acquisitions is carefully selected
by us based on our vast experience and expertise in Himalayan antiques. Many of the art pieces have strong provenance, or documented and vetted by scholars and researchers. We also travel throughout Europe, America, Asia, to find authentic one of a kind pieces that leave an impression.

For hundreds of years, religious devotees have been travelled long way to visit important religious sites in Himalaya regions and brought back "pilgrim souvenirs of antiquity" as a reminder of their spiritual journeys.

Is it legal to buy? 購買合法嗎？
We collect these antiques only from reputable sources (museums, auction houses, major dealers and collectors around the world), ensuring that every piece offered for sale has been legally acquired and is legal to sell. One example from the old collection – the famous Nyingjei Lam collection, it was published in 1999, and exhibited in Ashmolean museum and Rubin museum for more about 25 years.
